Our Story

It all started deep in the heart of Texas!

Picture of It all started deep in the heart of Texas!

Summer and Bryan met in 2015, deep in the heart of Texas, Austin! At the time, they met in a not so conventional way. Dating apps were new to the scene, so both decided to take a chance on the now popular dating app, Bumble. It only took a few exchanges of words before the two set up their first date. They were to meet up the next night at North Italia at the Domain.

The first time Summer saw Bryan she blushed and the first thing Bryan said to Summer was, “you look nothing like your picture.” Summer was not quite sure what to do with that information but laughed and the two went on to have the best first date. At the end of their meal both were not ready to go home. Even though they both had work early the next morning they went to a small bar across the street where they tried delicious gourmet jello shots! That night they shared their first kiss before reluctantly parting to go home.

The two dated for months and bonded over their love for dogs and good food. They even met up that first summer in one of their favorite cities, Las Vegas! That trip still did not seal the deal for the couple. It wasn’t until Summer’s birthday that Bryan pulled out all the stops! He planned a seven course meal and a staycation at The W Downtown Austin. They had the best time that weekend and Summer even took Bryan to her favorite little bar on sixth street, Mini Bar. This is where they snapped their first official picture together as a couple.

From there the rest is history! Summer and Bryan endured many up and downs over the years. From long distance to new jobs, the loss of beloved pets to welcoming more into their family, and fun travels overseas to quarantine during a pandemic. The two have always been by each other’s side, falling deeper in love along the way. Summer and Bryan will finally marry on May 3rd, 2024, where it all started deep in the heart of Texas!

Our wedding flower

The Hydrangea

The hydrangea was a beloved flower of the brides great-grandparents Jesus and Otila Guerrero. They kept them abloom in their garden for many years along with various flowers, fruits, and vegetables. After Jesus’s passing in the mid ‘90s, the brides grandmother Eva Rodriguez uprooted the hydrangeas to her home garden, where they remain to this very day. Since then, the hydrangeas have beautifully bloomed every spring, catching the attention of all who visit. The bride and groom cherish the hydrangea, as it is a beautiful reminder of family and the strong bond they share.
