Austin is known for some great BBQ spots, but if you’re up for an adventure, drive down to Lockhart, the BBQ Capital of Texas! You will find an abundance of delicious BBQ spots. The bride grew up going to Lockhart and will argue that Smitty's Market is the best in town! Try some for yourself and join in on the debate that been going on for years!

From March to September every year, bat enthusiasts gather to be mesmerized by the South Congress Bridge Bats' aerial show. The best time to witness the bats is around sunset, but the nightly show can take place anywhere from 7:30 to 9:45 p.m. It can take as long as 45 minutes for all of the bats to exit the bridge for the night. Plan to arrive early in order to find parking and get your spot.
Mount Bonnell, also known as Covert Park, is a prominent point alongside the Lake Austin portion of the Colorado River in Austin, Texas. It has been a popular tourist destination since the 1850s. The mount provides a vista for viewing the city of Austin, Lake Austin, and the surrounding hills.
The bride has been visiting Mayfield since she was a little girl. Most famous for the free roaming peacocks, Mayfield Preserve is the 21 acre natural area that surrounds the park, containing walking trails and wildlife habitat. Entrance is free to visitors.
